Epic Clinical Systems

Epic delivery grounded in bedside nursing and clinical leadership.

I bring seven years of nursing and clinical leadership to more than a decade of Epic and clinical-systems delivery. My work spans Epic Orders, Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc), and Hospital Outpatient Department (HOD) workflows—from requirements and configuration through testing, readiness, go-live, stabilization, and optimization.

Three examples of delivery across implementation and stabilization.

Each example identifies the operational context, my part of the work, the people and systems involved, and the outcome we could support.

Aspirus Health · Care Coordination and Case Management across 8 hospitals

Connecting nursing intake documentation to care coordination.

At Aspirus, I led requirements, configuration, and testing for Care Coordination and Case Management workflows across eight hospitals. The workflow automatically surfaced patient needs from nurses’ existing intake documentation in Care Coordination workqueues, with no additional action required from nursing. Shared workqueues also allowed any care coordinator to cover for another across the organization.

Ardent Health Services · Stabilization and optimization

Finding the recurring causes behind post-live support demand.

I worked across vendor analysts, contractors, staff analysts, and the help desk to find recurring causes instead of treating each ticket as an isolated problem. We changed workflows and configuration, established repeatable change control, and reduced recurring post-implementation tickets from approximately 400 to fewer than 20 per month. I also coordinated a cross-functional EAF department and location change that contributed to recovering approximately $2 million over about 1.5 months; that result depended on clinical, billing, and revenue-cycle partners working together.

Mary Washington Health System · Pulmonary service line

Coordinating a new service line across applications.

A new pulmonary function service line touched far more than one application. I led discovery and workflow analysis, completed Orders-side configuration, and coordinated dependencies across scheduling, Pulmonary, Willow, billing, charge capture, and operations. I also wrote practical guidance for Azure DevOps dashboards, sprint planning, story sizing, and build handoffs so the work was easier for the team to follow.

How I deliver.

I connect the requested build to the clinical work around it, make dependencies visible, test with the people who will use it, and remain involved through readiness, go-live, and stabilization.

If your team has a healthcare workflow that looks simple on paper and messy in practice, I would be glad to talk.

I am especially interested in Epic clinical-systems, healthcare solutions, product implementation, and forward-deployed roles.
